PhotoMosh Help

PhotoMosh lets you glitch images, videos and webCam using WebGL effects. Save output as image, GIF or video.

How To Use

1. Choose to load a file or use the WebCam.
• Select an image (JPG / PNG) or short video (MP4, less than 10 seconds long).
• Load a new file at any time by dragging it into the browser.
2. Click 'Mosh' button to randomize FX, or use the control panel at right to toggle FX and modify parameters.
3. Select output format with top-left button. Choose between JPG (still image), animated GIF or WEBM video.
4. Click 'Save' button to record and download image output.

Output Formats

Output saves with same size & duration as input with the following limits:

• JPG - 2048 x 2048 px max size.
• GIF - 640 x 640 px max size. 4 seconds max duration. 20 FPS.
• WEBM - 1280 x 1280 px max size. 4 seconds max duration. 10 Mbps data rate.
  • WEBM output requires Chrome or Firefox.
  • WEBM videos may be viewed in the browser or using VLC.

Pro Tips

• Load a new image at any time by dragging it into the browser.
• Press Space bar to Mosh. Hold down space bar for freakout mode.
• Tag moshed images with #photomosh for a chance to featured on our twitter or instagram accounts!
• Convert WEBMs to MP4 using Handbrake.
• For higher quality recordings try a screen recorder such as iShowU.

Requirements

• PhotoMosh requires a recent device with good WebGL capabilities.
• Render quality is limited by device and GPU speed. Processing large images or videos may make your computer unresponsive or crash the browser.
• Chrome recommended.
